    C. Baptism of suffering (Luke 12:50; 22:44; Hebrews 5:7)
    D. Baptism of fire (Matthew 3:11; 25:41, 46)
    E. Baptism for the dead (1 Corinthians 15:29)
    F. Baptism of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)

II. “There is one baptism” (Ephesians 4:5)

    A. Immersion (Acts 8:36-39; Romans 6:3-4; Colossians 2:12)
    B. Authorized by the Godhead (Matthew 28:19)
    C. For the purpose of the remission of sins (Acts 2:38; 22:16)
    D. For the purpose of salvation (Mark 16:16; 1 Peter 3:21)
    E. Places one “in Christ” (Galatians 3:27; Romans 6:3-4)
